Choosing a payment method
In classified listings, the buyer and seller agree payment directly. Make sure the price and terms are clear before committing.
Check what the price includes
The listing separates the item price from the cost of each shipping option entered by the seller. ‘To be agreed’ means the cost still needs confirmation. An item + shipping total excludes any additional external charges: agree the full amount before paying.
Choose a suitable method
For local collection, inspect the item and agree payment with the seller. If a business seller accepts card payment on site, confirm this with them. Check a transfer in your own bank account: a screenshot sent to you is not proof that funds have arrived.
For remote purchases, some PayPal Goods and Services transactions may qualify for Buyer Protection, subject to conditions. Friends and Family payments are excluded. Check the official terms for eligibility of the item, shipping and transaction before choosing this method. Industrial machinery used in manufacturing is specifically excluded: do not assume that a kiln or professional equipment is covered.
Keep the different services distinct
Céramispot does not collect payments for classifieds or provide a buyer guarantee for these sales. Report any message claiming that a classified listing requires a Céramispot secure payment.
