Preparing collection or shipping
A small tool, a fragile ceramic piece and a kiln need different transport. Choose an option suited to the item and state its cost clearly.
Choose a handover method
Local collection lets you inspect the equipment and arrange its removal. For a kiln or pottery wheel, confirm weight, dimensions, access, handling and vehicle requirements. Use a suitable carrier when necessary; do not assume standard parcel shipping is appropriate.
State the cost and destination
The seller can offer a parcel collection point, home delivery, personal delivery or transport by quotation. They enter an amount or ‘To be agreed’. Confirm the delivery area, packing and any extra services by message.
Prices are declared by the seller: Céramispot does not calculate carrier rates or sell shipping labels.
Prepare and document the shipment
Protect each piece separately and secure it in sturdy packaging suited to its fragility. Photograph the condition and packing before closing the parcel. Keep original labels on clay, glazes and raw materials, and check that the carrier accepts the product.
Before shipping, check the carrier’s weight limits, exclusions, tracking and compensation terms. Inspect the parcel on arrival and follow the carrier’s procedure if you find damage.
